I’ve recently finished The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid, and I have to say that I loved it. Reid is a master of creating complex characters that keep readers engaged in the story. Following Evelyn throughout her career and love life was fascinating – a trip through old Hollywood glamour combined with “the way it was” for female actors, let alone gay female actors. I admired Evelyn’s determination, and her ability to love so deeply, and yet go through men for strictly business purposed, and then cut her losses. If you like love stories, stories of Hollywood glamour, and stories with strong female protagonists, Evelyn Hugo will not disappoint. I can’t wait to see it on Netflix!
